About Us
Insulco® Fat Batts is a brand of Fletcher Insulation - one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of quality insulation products for the residential, commercial and industrial markets throughout Australia. Fletcher Insulation is a part of the New Zealand based Fletcher Building Group. Fletcher Building also owns Tasman Insulation New Zealand, the only manufacturer of glasswool insulation in New Zealand with plants in Auckland and Christchurch.
The History of Insulco®
1979
Glasswool manufacturing plant established at Rooty Hill, Sydney.
1989
Became part of the Carter Holt Harvey Group, a large forestry and building product conglomerate.
1998
Acquired by Tasman Building Products Pty Ltd.
Insulco® begins trading as Tasman Insulation Australia, marketing its extensive insulation range of products under the umbrella brand name, Insulco® Total Insulation Systems.
2003
Acquired by Fletcher Building, a New Zealand based building materials manufacturer and distributor, creating one of the largest building materials specialists in the Southern Hemisphere.
Manufacturing Plants
Fletcher Insulation™ has 2 main manufacturing plants - one in Rooty Hill, Sydney and the 2nd in Dandenong, Melbourne.
